Good music

Twenty One Pilots

Okay everyone, if you have no idea who this band is, shame on you! Go listen to them right now. An when you are done with listening to all of their albums, come back and read this blog. Then you will understand :)

Okay. Twenty One Pilots. Can we all take a moment of silence to worship these amazing people who actually have a sense of what good music is.

I have noticed that in a lot of their songs, they briefly go over te topic about songs these days and how they have no true deep meaning within the lyrics. And if there is a hidden message, it is usually about a person's own well being, how rich they are, what a relationship has done to them. TØP addresses how fake sings have gotten. In a farmiliar song on their album "Blurryface" the song Lane Boy  has a line that states "Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless."  meaning that any of the current song topics such as lots of money, girls and attention don't have any true meaning behind them. Any person that thinks so highly of themself isn't real and tøp relates them to people who aren't real for this.

Not only do they sing from heart, but they also are extremelly unique. I know that when I mention to people that my favorite "band" is Twenty One Pilots, they usually think of tøp to be at most 4 people. Twenty One Pilots consists of Tyler Joseph (lead singer) and Josh Dun (drummer). Two people that can preach to the maximum more than other bands of 5 people.

Thanks for reading another one of my posts :)) I absolutely love these people and wanted to write about why. If you have any bands, books or people you think I might like, leave it down in the comments and I will check it out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello readers! my name is Colleen Hill. I am 15 years old and I am a lover of good music, good people and good books. So stay tuned to hear all of my recommendations  and opinions on these categories.

Over the past 15 years, I have heard many sounds. But there are some specific songs out there that have blessed my ears and I could play on repeat for 30 more years and will never get bored.

Kanye-(Chainsmokers)

Okay, so this song is an EDM mix by a couple of DJ's that I absolutely love: the Chainsmokers. This song's message is also really relatable. It tells the story of someone who wishes they could be rich and famous, recognized anywhere and with a big fancy house. A very unique line from this song is "One day I'll stand with the crown on my head like a God, yeah like a God."

Is there somewhere (Halsey)

Halsey can probably sing "Happy Birthday" and still bring you to tears from how passionate she sings every word in this song, and most songs on her album Badlands. Is there somewhere is the story of two people who are secretly in love, and meet up in hotel rooms. I love how misterios and almost eerie the vocals of this song, you can picture every scene she describes in this mix. A line I love from this song is "I don't want to let this go, is there somewhere you can meet me?" describing a part of a relationship where people are in a seperation issue and meet up in a secret room.

Hell Nos and Headphones (Hailee Steinfeld)

I feel like if I had a theme song, this would be the one. Hailee Steinfeld is probably most recognized by her debut in "Pitch Perfect 2" when she played the incoming freshmen at the college, looking to be a part of the acapella group. Besides her amazing acting skills, Hailee is also an amazing singer. Like damn girl you got talent. Hell Nos and headphones is about how Hailee's world is changing, her friends are moving on and life is changing, but she refuses to admit that so she'll stick with hell nos and headphones. I personally love blocking out the world with my headphones, so I completely agree when she says this. I feel you Hailee. A line I absolutely love about this song is "And they all look me up and down like I'm the fucking new kid, but I saw the sunrise on this town way before you did."
